Eating Disorder
Stories
This part of our site is very
special. And we invite you to participate and share your
story with us.
We want everyone to know they are not alone in what they are experiencing
and that there is hope for a better tomorrow.
We are looking for letters that contain insights into:
- how the writer's eating disorder began
- how it has affected her/him and others close to them
- how they got to the point of seeking treatment or why they haven't sought
treatment
- what is treatment (therapy, medication, hospitalization) like
- if the person had a relapse, why? and were they able to recover
- and what is life like in recovery.
We would also like letters from family members of eating disorder sufferers.
How did you discover your loved one had an eating disorder? What has life been
like? And how have you been dealing with your own feelings and emotions since
then?
If you would like to share your story with our visitors, the instructions on
how are here.
And, if you are interested in finding an email pen pal or being one, here's
a support bulletin board for you to
check out.
You can also find many kind, knowledgeable and supportive people in
our eating disorders chatrooms.
