Question: My brother-in-law was told he has hypomania. He hears voices and sometimes acts out what the voices say. He has had a liver transplant and in his 70's There aren't to many meds he can take. What do you think? Answer: He most likely has more than just hypomania. Medication options are abundant even after a liver transplant. Risperdal would be considered safe, and Tegretol can be taken but the liver tests must be monitored.
