3 Steps to Attract More Bliss into Your Life

The idea of attracting bliss brings many different images to mind. We often associate the word with heightened mental states such as those brought about by meditation and a life of simplicity. At the other end of the spectrum, we might picture a life of complete abundance rooted in physical sensations, wealth, and material possessions.

But it doesn't need to be either of these extremes. It could simply be a life free from physical pain, relationship troubles, work-related stress, or any other concern we deal with in our everyday lives. It can more ordinarily convey familiar feelings of happiness, joy, and gratitude. This type of bliss is accessible to everyone.

Finding the Path to Attract Bliss

The idea that we can be happy and grateful daily is sometimes hard to imagine. With all our personal problemsnot to mention the constant negativity coming at us from the news and mediait can take a real effort to notice anything resembling bliss. We must learn to look for it if we want to be happy, peaceful, and thankful.

So, where can we find it? What are the quickest and easiest ways we can begin experiencing this extra happiness and joy in our lives?

3 Steps to Attract Bliss

If you're having trouble, here are three actionable steps anyone can start practicing right now to create a more blissful life:

  1. Imagine what a blissful life would look like. Consider the ways your life could be more blissful than it is now. Take a few minutes to write it down on a piece of paper. Go into as much detail as possible and read it repeatedly until it is fixed in your mind. Once you know what you want, your mind will naturally start looking for ways to create it.
  2. Do things differently than you are now. Having an image of what a blissful life would look like is a great starting point. The next part is changing the way you think and act so that they match that image. Learning to create and deal with change can take time and effort, but if you work on altering your thoughts and behavior, you will see a transformation in your present situation.
  3. Focus on what you are doing at this moment. You've heard it a thousand times before, but it's true. It's also the easiest of these steps to begin working on immediately. Avoid falling into the trap of multi-tasking your way through the day. Whether brushing your teeth or focusing on a project at work, give it your full attention. Even tedious daily tasks can be blissful if you concentrate on them. As the zen saying goes, "Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water."

No matter how hard things may seem, you can feel good about yourself, your life, and everything else. Leave behind your old ways of thinking and acting, take a little time to focus on the good, and you will see for yourself.
