You Never Know Where Mental Illness Recovery Will Lead You

When I was a teenager, mental illness recovery wasn't a thought in my mind. I already had my life planned out. I would attend music school and after graduation, I would audition for a military band. Things didn't go as planned when I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder.

I was devastated when my music studies no longer felt possible, but in mental illness recovery, I discovered my love for visual art. It became a catalyst for my life and career ("Boost Your Happiness with Creativity").

Where Mental Illness Recovery Took Me

My new passion took my life in a different direction, and I am now very grateful to have a job promoting the arts and mental illness recovery.
