Jump Start the Journey to Mastering Your Life
Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person. ~ Albert Einstein
Mastering Your Life, Unveiled
What does mastering your life really mean? It means visualizing the life you want, mapping it out, and taking intentional steps to create it. I often ask people: what are your interests? What do want out of your career? Where would you like to retire? What brings you joy? Most people respond, “I really don’t know.” More often than not they are struggling emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The prevailing desire is for inner calm, peace and focus.
For many years I believed I could master my life by achieving goals. So, I visualized what I wanted, charted a course, and took steps to get it done. I thought that if I worked hard and strived for excellence, all would be well. The feeling of achieving one goal after another was fleeting and emotionally, mentally, and spiritually I was in a state of perpetual motion. Enduring satisfaction was elusive. Something was still missing. Ultimately, I discovered, for me, it was being grateful and a strong spiritual connection with God.
The point here is a significant part of the journey to mastering your life will be anchored in nurturing a healthy mind, body, and spirit. This involves discovering what will bring you enduring joy, personal fulfillment, and happiness.
