Find a Peaceful Sanctuary When You Have Anxiety
I try to visit my childhood home, my peaceful sanctuary, at least once every few weeks. I’ve fallen behind on those visits recently, due to working through the logistics of my anxiety-provoking move. With the move out of the way, last weekend I was able to visit my peaceful sanctuary for the first time in nearly two months.
Why a Peace Sanctuary Is Important
Being home after such a long time reminded me of why I love being there so much. Among other things, my childhood home provides me with a place where I can, if only for a few days, escape the anxiety that haunts me each day. In this video, I explain why my peaceful sanctuary is so important, and why I encourage everyone to find their own “anxiety sanctuary.”

What a nice message . Thank you TJ. !!! You made and a work me think about how important a sanctuary place is to have ... one at home, work setting too . Maybe an outside place. .I wonder if Practicing going to that place again and again ( maybe on a daily basis ) might be an excellent way to imprint the place / anxiety relief aspect on the brain.
You're very welcome! I think having multiple sanctuaries is a great idea - aside from my home, I have a couple places around Chicago that I often visit when I'm stressed out, and it almost always makes me feel better.
